The ‘Exponatec’ in Cologne is a museum fair where future-oriented trends and technologies are the focus of attention. The visual concept of the stand combines exhibits from ‘Werk5’ and touch applications from ‘Interactive Scape’. It simulates a real exhibition that is self-explanatory and encourages visitors to interact with the products on their own.

In order to give the two companies a uniform look and feel, a new branding was created. The Tape Art guidance system formed the basis of the visual concept.
The flyer contains a map of the area. As this is not necessary for an exhibition stand, the concept shows possibilities of how a one-dimensional exhibition can be transformed into an immersive space.
The Tape Art concept functions as a guidance system and takes up architectural lines and forms of the environment.
Labels help visitors to understand the products through short descriptions and technical specifications.
The scenography was adapted to the design concept. Visitors can walk around like in a museum and have the possibility of a 360° experience.
The clean style of the technical products is contrasted by the haptic Tape Art. This gives the general design a rougher look and takes away the visitors’ worries of interacting with the products.
This first draft of Werk5 shows the process from a rough idea to the final concept.
